Great language movement

Since its establishment in 1948, Ansar Bahini has made significant contributions to every important moment in history. In the great language movement, Ansar Platoon commander Abdul Jabbar was killed in Mymensingh. The army is proud of his dedication and contribution.

Pak India War

During the historic Pak War of India, in 1965, the Ansar Bahini was assigned the responsibility of protecting the BOP with the then EPR in the border ferries of the country.

1970s cyclone

In 1970, Ansar Bahini was responsible for rescue and rehabilitation operations in the devastating cyclone.

Great liberation war

In the beginning of the great liberation war, on April 17, 1971, when the first government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh (Mujibnagar) received the formal oath of power, Ansar Platoon gave the commander Yad Ali 12 people of the Ansar member 'Guard of Honor'. In response to the call of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the 9 Ansar and Village Defense Forces, 9 officers, 3 employees and 658 Ansar members were martyred. 40 thousand three knife rifles of this force were the main strength of the liberation war. In recognition of his contribution in the war of liberation, one member of the force, Bir Bikram, and two other members were awarded the Bir Prakek title.

natural disaster

These forces have played an important role in dealing with natural disasters at different times during the Great War of Liberation. Especially in the severe floods of 1988 and 1998, members of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force actively participated in rescue and rehabilitation activities.

Railway and railway

In operation 013/14 operation, about 8,328 members of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Training Force have secured the confidence of the security of at least 1,041 risky points in 36 districts. Roads and highways

In order to prevent political unstable environment and suppression of terrorism and militancy, from 013 to 2015, 993 risky points of road and highways across the country, 12 people, 11,916 Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Forces are responsible for security. In last year, 28 people, including 11 serious critics, were injured.

Air and land port

General and Battalion Ansar members are responsible for the safety of the lives of the people in the land ports, including national and international airports of the country. Recently, while working at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, the general Ansar member Sohag Ali was killed in the fight with the brave courage. Most recently Ansar member Firoz Hossain was killed in the stampede at Benapole ground port.

Mountain areas

In the Chittagong Hill Tracts, after battling Ansar and the Ansar and Battalion Ansar and Village Defense Forces from 1976, to maintain peace and discipline, 19 people were killed in the war. In addition, about 300 members died prematurely due to various reasons. Besides, more than hundred Hill Ansar and Hill VDP members were killed in various front wars and clashes in the mountainous region.

Selection

Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Forces have a vital role in protecting the public safety in different national and national elections. Especially due to the deployment of female security personnel, the presence of female voters in the election centers has increased significantly. Many members of our community were seriously injured and killed to ensure free, fair and peaceful elections. Last year, 01 male men including 05 VDP female members were killed during the election.

In addition, more than half-a-dozen members-members were injured in the case of arms repression, anarchy and sabotage in the operation of suppression of terrorism and militancy including Holi Artisan.

In the field of sports

In the sports field, Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Forces are playing important role. In 2004, the force won 'Swadhinata Padak' in recognition of sports contribution and significant contribution to national sports development. Four years later, the sport's glory gained pride in becoming the champion of Bangladesh Games. In the last year, different sports competitions were championed by 98 teams, gold, 71 silver and 77 bronze medals in last year, and 09 gold, 07 silver in international sports field , And won 11 bronze medals.
